Step Down Nurse

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule Notes
- 36- or 48-hour shift option available
- Every other weekend and holiday availability required
- First to float at the facility’s discretion
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Ohio
- LPN / LVN (1 year of experience)
- LPN / LVN experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Ventilator experience
- Step down or progressive care unit (PCU) experience with 1:5 patient ratio
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 experience
Unit Details
- Works with telemetry, drips, and vents
- Patient population includes COPD, CHF, pneumonia, flu, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and post-COVID
- Supports trach, vents, BiPAP, and high-oxygen patients
- No orally intubated patients on the unit
Additional Notes
- N95 fit testing is required before working on the unit unless PAPR is used
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- RTO must be requested with the initial submission
- Housing/lodging is not mentioned
