Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Roanoke, Virginia
Night shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
12-bed inpatient medical-surgical behavioral health unit
Patient population includes adults with complex medical conditions, co-occurring behavioral health needs, and substance use disorders
Care includes assessment, stabilization, treatment, medication management, behavioral support, and discharge planning
Multidisciplinary team environment
May be required to float within skillset
May be required to work charge and precept

Schedule

3x12s
4x12 available by request
Up to 26 weeks available by request
Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
One holiday required per 13-week contract
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
One completed travel assignment
Behavioral Health experience within the last year
Behavioral Health (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
CPI
Experience with Epic

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are not accepted
Locals are accepted
EPIC experience is required
1:6 patient ratio
