Step Down RN Travel Contract

Location

• Columbus, Ohio

Schedule

• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• 3x12 schedule
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend coverage varies based on unit needs

Setting and Patient Population

• Acute leukemia and hematology unit
• Cares for adults and geriatrics
• Primarily treats newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an acute care setting
• 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience
• 1 year of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood product administration
• Central line blood draw
• PICC line management
• 2 professional references, including at least 1 from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leadership role
• Emergency contact form
• Employment application

• Unit-specific competency exam

• First-time travelers are screened for client review
• No chemo certification required
• Heavy focus on infection prevention and fall prevention
