Job Details

  • Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
  • Required Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Prior Travel Experience: Required
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Certifications Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • State license (pending license accepted)

Important Notes

  • Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible for this travel contract: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.

Required Documentation and Compliance

  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks upon hire
    • Education verification (highest level) required
  • Licensure Verification:
    • Primary source online verification of state license
    • NURSYS verification for applicable licenses
  • Certifications (as applicable):
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), NIH Stroke Certification, CPI
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
    • Color Blind Testing (online)
    • Core competency testing annually (for subcontractors)
  • Health Requirements:
    • Physical exam within 12 months of start
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
    • Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
    • Complete employment application/resume
    • Unit-specific skills checklist annually
    • 7-year work history verification
