Registered Nurse (RN) - Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona

Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Location Restriction: Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will not be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 24 months of current ICU experience required.
  • Certifications:
    • Must have active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certifications at time of submission.
    • Required certifications include ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS.
  • Licensing:
    • Active Arizona RN license required (verification must be less than 30 days old).
    • No license hits allowed.
    • Compact license allowed but must be active at submission.
  • Vaccinations:
    • Flu vaccination required; declinations can be applied for (must include vaccination status in submission notes).
  • Background: Must meet Banner’s specific background compliance requirements.
  • Travel Experience: Preferred but not mandatory.

Submission Requirements

  • Completed Banner Cover Page with all requested information.
  • Resume detailing all facilities worked at, including facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
  • Skills checklist specific to nursing discipline (must be less than one year old).
  • Copy of valid driver’s license (non-AZ address).
  • Certifications and license documentation included and current.

Assignment Details

  • Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date.
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests must be less than 7 days and will not be approved during the first week of assignment or on holidays.
  • Learning modules must be completed prior to assignment start.
  • Non-billable hours adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
  • Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
