Clinical Lab Technologist - Minnesota, Rochester
Job Summary
- Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot assays, and evaluate test accuracy.
- Participate in operational support activities to optimize testing capabilities.
- Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
- May assist with specimen collection and work with minimal supervision.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols when handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.
Contract Length
- Approximately 35 weeks
Work Schedule
- Dayshift, Tuesday through Saturday
- Start time varies between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM depending on assigned bench
- Training occurs Monday through Saturday during dayshift with similar start times
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Must accommodate scheduling adjustments including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend assignments
Required Qualifications
- Medical Lab Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- A bachelor's degree in either chemistry or a biological science
- Experience as a Medical Technologist
