Surgical Technician Position - Michigan, Jackson

Job Summary

• Assist the surgical team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during general surgical procedures.
• Understand assigned surgical procedures and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Provide support with patient preparation, transport, building services, and specific patient care duties to ensure safety and comfort.
• Respond to emergent situations following established procedures.

Contract Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Call schedule: Once per week and every 6th weekend
• Hours per week: 40

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Technician experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working in a clean room environment
• Prior travel experience required
