Job Opportunity: Pharmacist
Location: Houston, Texas

Job Description
- Manage the medication process to promote pharmaceutical care.
- Identify and prevent potential drug-related problems; resolve actual drug-related problems.
- Perform duties as a registered pharmacist in accordance with state regulations.
- Ensure medication doses are appropriate based on patient diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
- Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system.
- Verify that patients receive the correct medications, minimizing dispensing errors.
- Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines.
- Follow aseptic technique and infection control in the preparation of sterile products.
- Ensure technicians and other pharmacists adhere to aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Complete annual re-certification and achieve at least 90% on aseptic technique/infection control skills and written exams.
- Work night shifts on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule (7:30 PM to 7:30 AM).
- Serve patients of all ages (from newborn to adult).
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Texas
- Registered Pharmacist (RPH)
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
Additional Information
- Emphasis on aseptic technique and infection control in sterile product preparation.
- Night shift schedule with a 7-on/7-off rotation.
Specialty Experience
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacist experience preferred.
