Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is culturally based and age-specific, following the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Overview:

Fast-paced, 39-bed unit with all-private rooms
Provides specialized care for patients undergoing general surgery, ENT procedures, and medical overflow
Offers a solid clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing
Team-oriented and supportive environment suitable for both experienced nurses and new graduates

Required Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
Ability to provide culturally specific patient care and education
Evidence of continuing professional growth and commitment to maintaining competence

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

Certifications & Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
