Job Opportunity: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care specific to Labor & Delivery patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients; individualize care based on anesthesia and procedure type.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience:

  • Minimum years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing: Not explicitly stated (assume standard for travel L&D RN roles, typically 1-2 years)
