Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Travel


Position Overview

  • Perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in accordance with hospital protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Adult acute care experience required; adult critical care experience preferred.
  • Facility is adult-only; no pediatric (NICU/PICU) experience needed.
  • Shift hours: 1800-0630 (overnight).
  • May be asked to work weekends and holidays.
  • May be asked to flex shifts between nights and days depending on department needs, but not within the same pay period.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.

Licensure & Certification

  • Must hold the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential prior to first day of employment.
  • Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications or equivalent as required by the site.
  • Must have an active Arizona state license.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.
  • Understanding of computer systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of risks related to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and compressed gases.
