Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holiday: Holiday rotation
Patient Ratio: 1:5 (day shift)
Primary Cases: Trauma surgical, Neuro, Orthopedic
Float Requirements: Float throughout facility within skillset and to all facilities within a 60-mile radius

Job Description

• Work on a Medical/Surgical 6th Floor unit
• Must have neuro and ortho trauma experience
• Hard stops include care involving chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), and post-op neuro and ortho trauma surgeries (including fusions and spine surgeries)
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• 8-hour unbillable orientation (8-hour orientation week with no guaranteed GSA hours)
• Charting experience with EPIC within the last 2 years is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Neuro trauma experience
• Ortho trauma experience
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
