Registered Nurse — Medical-Surgical

Location

Wausau, Wisconsin

Assignment Details

Travel assignment
13 weeks
Start date: 9/8/26
48 guaranteed hours per week
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
12-hour shifts
Float to all inpatient units as needed
Every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin RN license
BLS certification through AHA or ARC
2 years of experience

Preferred Experience

Trauma level II experience

Clinical Setting

Medical-Surgical unit serving adult medical and pediatric unit workflow, with travelers not taking pediatric patients

Patient Population

Adults with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal

Work Environment

Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:6-7 on nights
EPIC charting required
Scrub color: any color

Additional Notes

Unit may low census in 4-hour increments
Flu and COVID vaccine declination requires masking at all times during flu season, per policy
