Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units.
Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Weekend/Holiday rotation: every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.
Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
May be placed on call during low census periods with a minimum 2-hour callback.

Unit Information

Labor and Delivery: 11 beds
Postpartum: 8 beds
Approximately 1,350 deliveries annually (average 112 per month)
Patient census is highly variable

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin RN license.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Obstetrics with Labor and Delivery experience.
Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Competency in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Additional Information

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy. Non-compliance may result in corrective action.
Orientation week hours may differ; guaranteed hours apply except when the unit is closed for holidays.
No float or on-call requirements beyond low census call-back.
