Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin

Job Details

Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Varied 8-hour day shifts, with start times as early as 6:30 AM
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every 5th to 6th weekend
On Call/Call Back: 1-2 weeknight calls as needed, 30-minute response time, minimum 2 hours call back pay
Float Requirements: May be required to float to other locations within the health system

Unit Information

Fast-paced Interventional Radiology unit
Variety of procedures with a 1:1 patient ratio
Average 4-6 cases per day
Team consists of 1 RN and 2 Radiology Technologists

Required Qualifications

License: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
Education: BSN or ADN
Experience: Minimum 4 years in specialty
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Charting Experience: Epic preferred
Skills: Ability to work in fast-paced outpatient settings

Additional Information

Radius rule: Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Low census policy: Eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours; call back pay applies if called in during these hours
Orientation week hours are not guaranteed
Flu and COVID vaccination policy: During flu season, travelers who decline vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy; non-compliance may result in corrective action
