2C Observation Unit
22 beds
Heavy tele unit, monitored by Central monitoring
Floats to med surg

Schedule

12-hour day shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Holidays rotate with perm staff
No call

Required Qualifications

RN
BLS
NIHSS
1 year experience
1 travel assignment
Must be within a strict 75 mile radius
Traveler’s driver’s license address must be provided in the submittal email

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS highly recommended

Clinical Notes

Common patient type: miscellaneous medical observation
Heparin is the only common titratable or set-rate drip
No vents
Charge nurse occasionally has patients
CNA support: 2 if able for floor
RN performs own EKGs and draws own labs
Fast-paced unit with high turnover and frequent discharge/admission activity
Discharges up to 16 per day and refills on the unit
Unit orientation: 3 shifts

Dress Code

Caribbean Blue top and bottom, or White top and Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white top and bottom
