Overview

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

RN license
2 years of RN experience
1 year of unit experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Driver’s license required at submittal

Unit Details

Adult and geriatric patients
Common patient types include cardiac, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
Titration of drips is required
Floating may be required to medical floors, ICU, or rehab

Schedule Expectations

Every other weekend
Every third holiday
No call or standby requirement

Orientation

First week is onboarding, followed by 1-2 days of unit orientation

Additional Notes

Fast-paced unit
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Candidates must live outside 50 miles and cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
RTO must be provided upfront; up to 7 days per 13-week contract is allowed, and additional RTO will not be approved
