Valid RN license in Nebraska
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
1 year of unit experience

Unit Details

Stepdown unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
Charge nurse on each shift
CNAs available on the unit
RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
RNs titrate drips
Floating may be required to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care

Schedule Expectations

Every other weekend
Holidays as needed to meet unit needs
Schedule is set by unit schedulers

Orientation

First week in classroom, followed by 2 floor shifts

Additional Notes

Driver’s license required at submittal
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
Candidates must live outside 50 miles and cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated facilities
