Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Nebraska
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • 1 year of unit experience

Unit Details

  • Stepdown unit
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
  • Charge nurse on each shift
  • CNAs available on the unit
  • RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
  • RNs titrate drips
  • Floating may be required to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care

Schedule Expectations

  • Every other weekend
  • Holidays as needed to meet unit needs
  • Schedule is set by unit schedulers

Orientation

  • First week in classroom, followed by 2 floor shifts

Additional Notes

  • Driver’s license required at submittal
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
  • RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
  • Candidates must live outside 50 miles and cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated facilities
