Job Details

Specialty: Acute RN
Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Shift: 10-12 hours
Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 hours
Work Schedule: May require working 4 days per week to meet guaranteed hours
Call Requirement: Yes, 3-4 times per week including weekends
Float Requirement: Must float to Chronic care to meet guarantee
Clinic Operation: 7 days per week, shift times vary
Machines Used: Gambro & Fresenius (6 machines; 3 shifts of 12 hours each)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Montana
Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience, including dialysis experience within the last year
BLS Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Scheduling requests or blocked schedules are not accommodated; travelers must be available as scheduled based on clinic needs and census

Pay is good because they are union for nurses.

Cons

Management has a lot to be desired. They have their “favorites”. Don’t try to change anything because they have done things the same way forever and if you suggest options it will place a target on your back. Places with many travelers is not a good sign. Also sign on bonuses should be a red flag.
