CT Tech Position - Omaha, Nebraska

Job Overview

• Location: Omaha, Nebraska
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 8-hour, 12-hour, or mixed shifts (examples: 7am-7pm, 3pm-11pm)
• Weekend and holiday requirements depend on the posted shift and department needs
• Orientation: 36-40 hours of unit/department-specific orientation

Department & Work Environment

• Department: CT Tech
• Equipment: Siemens scanners (8 treatment areas), Bracco contrast injectors
• EMR: EPIC
• PACS: McKesson
• Patient Population: Mixed ages from pediatrics to geriatrics, including high acuity patients in a busy OR and ER setting
• Imaging Types: CT angiograms (CTAs), cardiac imaging, perfusion studies, and a variety of other imaging/studies
• May float between main campus and UC campus (stand-alone ER)
• Possible cross-coverage with MRI, CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound tech roles depending on position

Requirements & Preferences

• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R); CT certification preferred
• Experience: Level 1 trauma and travel experience required
• Skills:

  • Ability to perform venipuncture as required
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, shifting environment
  • Self-motivated, team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
• Additional:

  • Radiation badge provided by client
  • Driver’s license required to verify candidate location within 50-mile radius
  • Fingernail policy: Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in contract termination

• Fast-paced, busy facility with high acuity patients
• Successful candidates are those willing to stay busy, think creatively, and problem-solve effectively
• Radius Rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and cannot be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
• Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO extensions allowed
