Physical Therapist (PT) - Tonasket, Washington

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• BLS Certification

Patient Population & Caseload

• Treats 3-11 patients per day
• Patient types range from infants to geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include pelvic floor, hand therapy, post-stroke, total joint replacements, pediatrics (including autism)
• Accepts all patient types that come through the door

Work Settings

• Inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care (LTC)
• Typically assigned to a specific area but may float to cover other areas

Experience & Skills

• Flexibility to treat a wide variety of patients and diagnoses
• Preference for travelers with both inpatient and outpatient experience
• First-time travelers are welcome
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Team Structure

• Works with PT, OT, clerical staff, rehab techs, massage therapists, and manager

Scheduling

• Some schedule flexibility; manager sets schedule
• Outpatient shifts typically start at 7:30 AM with 8, 9, or 10-hour days
• Monday through Friday
• No weekend or holiday requirements

Orientation

• 1-2 shifts with a preceptor

Dress Code

• Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs

• Small town living near Canadian border with many outdoor activities
• Approximately 30% Spanish-speaking population in the area
