Job Opportunity: MRI/CT/X-ray Technologist (Weekend)

Location: Delta, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

This position involves operating and maintaining diagnostic imaging equipment across multiple modalities including X-ray, CT, and MRI. Responsibilities include:

  • X-ray (AART) Duties:

    • Operate and maintain x-ray, fluoroscopic, and c-arm equipment.
    • Capture and process images ensuring quality and clarity.
    • Perform quality control for the x-ray area.
  • CT Tech Duties:

    • Operate CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostics.
    • Administer contrast media as ordered by Radiologist.
    • Assist radiologists during interventional procedures using CT guidance.
    • Perform quality control for the CT area.
  • MRI Duties:

    • Operate MRI and CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
    • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and ensure removal of metal objects.
    • Monitor staff and patients entering scan room for safety compliance.
    • Perform quality control for the MRI area.
  • All Modalities:

    • Transport patients according to their physical abilities.
    • Guide and protect patients following department policies and regulatory standards.
    • Use positioning aides to ensure quality exams.
    • Assist in scheduling staff and patients to maximize efficiency.
    • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with Federal, State, and DNV standards.
    • Practice sterile technique and universal precautions.
    • Evaluate technical quality of exams.
    • Maintain records, logs, and reports.
    • Clean rooms and restock supplies after exams.
    • Make follow-up calls as necessary.
    • Assist in training Radiology students.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid license or certification appropriate for Diagnostic Imaging technologists (MRI/CT/X-ray) in Colorado.
  • Experience operating MRI, CT, and X-ray equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures for all imaging modalities.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory standards.
