Job Opportunity: Manager - Laboratory Operations

Location: Corvallis, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Manage day-to-day operations in the laboratory department. Collaborate closely with the Laboratory Director on policy and procedural matters.

Department Overview

  • Responsible for testing samples including blood, body fluids, and tissue to aid in diagnosis of diseases and medical conditions.
  • Lab tests support hospital inpatients, emergency room patients 24/7, as well as outpatient and clinic specimens.
  • The laboratory is licensed under CLIA and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a clinical laboratory role, including Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year.
  • Minimum two (2) years laboratory leadership experience.
  • Experience in leadership roles.
