Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. This position requires high-risk labor and delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
Document care according to standards.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
Apply critical thinking related to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification in CPR, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required).
Experience in high-risk labor and delivery at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Shift

Night shift (approximately 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
