Overview

• Contract assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin
• 36 hours per week
• Day shift

Required Qualifications

• Dialysis Technician experience within the last year
• 2 years of Dialysis Technician experience
• Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (NNCC) or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (BONET)
• BLS

Role Summary

• Provides specialized direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Initiates and discontinues dialysis treatments and monitors patients throughout treatments
• Maintains dialysis equipment with the Biomedical Team
• Performs infection prevention protocols for dialysis biomedical equipment
• Completes water room checks, disinfection, and related compliance documentation
• Sets up patient stations and enters data into the machine before treatment
• Takes down and cleans machines after treatment
• Cannulates patient access and removes needles when treatment is complete
• Performs catheter care, including access, flushing, and heparinization
• Measures vital signs and collects patient assessment data
• Collects lab specimens and performs vascular access monitoring
• Inventories and orders medical supplies
• Participates in performance improvement, education, and training
