• Unit Name: HVIU/D200 (Telemetry/Cardiac Unit)
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days and nights)
• Staffing: Charge nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), monitor tech, unit secretaries
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• Documentation System: Allscripts
• Scheduling: Every other weekend required
• Floating Policy: Float to like units

Required Skills & Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Telemetry/Cardiac nursing)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Clinical Knowledge:

  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Care of patients post TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device, cardiac drips
• Advanced Skills:

  • Procedures performed on unit include TAVR, ablations, Watchman device, STEMI care, pacemakers, CardioMEMS
