• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as required
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Description

• The Pulmonary Unit specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with a variety of lung diseases and injuries.
• Collaborative work environment involving respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy.
• Requires a strong foundation in general medicine and expertise in respiratory nursing skills.

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licenses: Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience; will consider 18 months if working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year in pulmonary specialty
