Position Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion/Oncology
Location: Denver, Colorado

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Outpatient Infusion Center
5 beds, 16 chairs
6 core staff members
Day shift: 7 AM - 6 PM (No night shift)
Patient Ratios: Not specified
Equipment: Infusion pumps
EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
Oncology (ONC) or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required
Strong IV skills
Experience with blood product administration
Experience caring for immunocompromised patients
BLS certification
Chemo certification through Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)

Preferred Skills

Chemo/Biotherapy Certification
ACLS certification

Typical Procedures

Infusions of IVIG, blood, Albumin/Lasix, electrolyte replacement, antibiotics, hydration
Administration of Granix and Mozobil for transplant patients
Oversight of stem cell collection procedures
Support for outpatient CAR T infusions
Support for apheresis program

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented, compassionate, and caring atmosphere
Critical role in supporting Bone Marrow Transplant and liver/renal transplant programs
Opportunity to provide care for very vulnerable patients in a specialized outpatient infusion setting
