Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on a 36-bed telemetry Pulmonary unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders.
• Patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
• The unit collaborates closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments.
• Requires a foundation in general medicine and expertise in respiratory nursing skills.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross equivalent

Additional Information

• This is a patient-facing clinical position.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
