Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Work on a 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit focusing on Cardiac Telemetry.
Patient ratio: 1:6.
Care for cardiac patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and various cardiac arrhythmias.
Also care for medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke, and some surgical patients.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, including holidays as required and every other weekend.
EMR system: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
Parking available.

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry within the last year.
Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.

Additional Information

Position is patient-facing and clinical.
Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.
