Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Mids (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours due to emergencies or schedule changes
Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking, heavy lifting or transferring of patients/equipment, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination

Additional Information

Weekend, on-call, and floating requirements apply
This is a backfill replacement position

Note: Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
