Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Biddeford, Maine
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Float to other med surg units as needed.
• Call requirements: 2 twelve-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract.
• Shift options: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Patient ratios:

  • Days: 1 RN to 4-5 patients
  • Nights: 1 RN to 5-6 patients
• Unit has 56 beds.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification.

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Scrubs: Any color, clean and professional.
• Unacceptable attire: Hoodies, graphic shirts, open shoes.

Additional Information

• Patients are general medical-surgical telemetry cases.
• Weekend hours vary.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
