Travel RN - Med Surg (Ortho/Neuro Specialty)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Ortho/Neuro
Discipline: RN
Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
Call: No call required
Float: Must be able to float to medical surgical units

Unit Information

Unit: 6th Floor, 6 West Ortho/Neuro
Number of Beds: 34
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4.5 patients
Patient Types: Stroke, hip fractures, back surgeries, seizures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, medical surgical overflow
Equipment: Alaris Pumps, Pyxis
EMR System: Epic

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Med Surg level of care)
Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required
Skills: Med Surg experience required; Ortho/Neuro preferred
Personality Fit: Joyful service and compassionate concern

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Navy
Unacceptable Attire: Nose rings, unnatural hair colors

Additional Notes

No prior travel experience explicitly required
Candidate may be required to complete education modules prior to first day
Parking available in yellow line spaces on east side of building
