Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Albany, New York

Job Description
- Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit caring for medically delicate and surgically complex adult patients.
- Patient conditions include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
- Average patient load: 3 high acuity patients.
- Competency in care of medical and surgical populations required.
- Must be proficient in ACLS and advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage per titration protocols.
- Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), orthopedic traction, infection prevention protocols, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxypendent.
- Nurses with large-scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU experience tend to perform well.
- Navy blue scrubs required.
- Epic EMR experience is required.
- Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system.
