CT Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks


Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Tech performs CT imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to obtain optimal image quality and provide exceptional patient care. The role involves responsibility for all aspects of CT imaging, including anatomical positioning, physiology understanding, and technical factor adjustments to produce high-quality scans while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort.


Work Schedule

  • Shift: Variable
  • Typical Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday (night shift)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: None
  • Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensure: Missouri Radiologic Technologist License
  • Additional Certification: RRA required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in Emergency Department settings, trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion imaging
  • Skills:
    • Manipulating patient and transfer equipment
    • Continual standing and walking
    • Recognizing emergency situations
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective communication skills
  • Preferred: Knowledge of CTA and perfusion imaging

Equipment & Technology

  • GE Revolution CT scanner (256 slices) – newest platform
  • Siemens CT scanners
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, and transport patients
  • Continual standing and walking required
  • Must be able to recognize emergency situations and adapt to a fast-paced workload
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

  • Emergency Department setting
  • Patient types include trauma, stroke, CTA, and perfusion cases

  • Scrub color: Black
