Schedule: Call required; alternating weekends; call 2–3 days per week plus every 3rd weekend

Unit Details

Unit: GI/Endo Lab
Patient ratio: 1:1
Staffing: Day shift typically has 2 RNs and 2–3 techs
Equipment: Olympus scopes, Medivator, Scope Buddy 2
EMR: Meditech

Key Responsibilities / Procedures

EGD
Colonoscopy
ERCP
Moderate sedation with another RN
Bronchoscopy and EBUS are preferred experience
Occasional thoracentesis and PleurX placement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Endoscopy (1 year of experience)
Endoscopy experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
EGD procedure experience
Colonoscopy procedure experience
ERCP procedure experience
Ability to perform moderate sedation with another RN

Preferred Experience

Bronchoscopy
EBUS

Dress Code

Ceil blue scrubs; hospital scrubs allowed
