Overview

- Schedule: Call required; alternating weekends; call 2–3 days per week plus every 3rd weekend
Unit Details
- Unit: GI/Endo Lab
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: Day shift typically has 2 RNs and 2–3 techs
- Equipment: Olympus scopes, Medivator, Scope Buddy 2
- EMR: Meditech
Key Responsibilities / Procedures
- EGD
- Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- Moderate sedation with another RN
- Bronchoscopy and EBUS are preferred experience
- Occasional thoracentesis and PleurX placement
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Endoscopy (1 year of experience)
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- EGD procedure experience
- Colonoscopy procedure experience
- ERCP procedure experience
- Ability to perform moderate sedation with another RN
Preferred Experience
- Bronchoscopy
- EBUS
Dress Code
- Ceil blue scrubs; hospital scrubs allowed
