- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: 4 RNs and 4 surgical technologists on day shift; no night shift
- Floating: Main OR
- On-call: Average 4–5 days per month and 1 weekend per month
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS
- BLS
- CVOR experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVOR experience
- Open heart surgery experience
- Vascular surgery experience
- Operating room experience
Preferred Experience
- Open heart and/or vascular experience
Procedures
- CABG
- Valve replacement
- Carotid endarterectomy
- ECMO
- Angiogram
- Fistulagram
- Fistula creation
- Lower extremity bypass
Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment
- Scrubs provided by the unit
