RN - ICU

Overview

• Travel RN position in an ICU/CCU setting in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
• 16-bed unit with typical patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 3:1.
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week.
• Floating is done in rotation with core staff.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

• Uses Meditech for documentation.
• Common equipment includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions.

Work Environment

• Staffing may include a monitor tech, and a tech may be available depending on census.
• The unit emphasizes flexibility with scheduling, teamwork, and a mix of day and night shift experience.

Dress Code

• Scrubs of any color are allowed, except denim, capris, and camo.
