Overview
- Travel RN position in an ICU/CCU setting in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- 16-bed unit with typical patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 3:1.
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week.
- Floating is done in rotation with core staff.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- Uses Meditech for documentation.
- Common equipment includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions.
Work Environment
- Staffing may include a monitor tech, and a tech may be available depending on census.
- The unit emphasizes flexibility with scheduling, teamwork, and a mix of day and night shift experience.
Dress Code
- Scrubs of any color are allowed, except denim, capris, and camo.
