Job Opportunity: CNA/PCT - Med Surg

Location

  • Chesterfield, Missouri

Employment Type

  • Travel contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

  • Rehabilitation hospital setting with 81 private rooms
  • Adult patients (18+ years)
  • Units include Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury
  • Patient ratios approximately 1:6-7 during the day and 1:8 at night
  • Each nurse is assigned a dedicated technician

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 36

Job Description

  • Provide care in a rehabilitation hospital focused on patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions
  • Support patient recuperation with emphasis on improving functional ability and quality of life
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, specialists, and family members
  • Float within multiple units in the hospital as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CNA license in Missouri
  • Minimum 2 years of CNA experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working in a medical unit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
