Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
• Position is a travel assignment requiring candidates to live 60 miles or more from the facility.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Facility is Joint Commission Accredited, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI.
• The hospital has 199 beds and offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current certifications required prior to start: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Must comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements:

  • Fingerprinting required before hire for all clinical staff except physicians.
  • May start on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint results are pending but must be supervised during this period.
