Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Travel Position

Location: Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position in a Level IV Trauma ICU with 4 beds
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on patient status
• Equipment used: Ventilator, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Arterial Lines, CPAP
• Electronic Health Record system: EPIC
• Float to MedSurg possible if ICU is closed for the shift
• No call requirements
• Weekend shifts every other weekend
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Trauma ICU nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must complete and clear all Pennsylvania-required background screenings prior to start, including:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
  • FBI fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new submission required)
  • Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (PATCH)
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel

Clinical Experience & Skills

• ICU experience required
• Common diagnoses treated: Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), STEMI, Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA), Respiratory Failure

Additional Information

• Dress code: No specific scrub colors required
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
