Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 48
Weekend Schedule: 1 weekend in 4, 12-hour shifts
Job Description
- Work in a 37-bed Level 1 Trauma Center
- Circulate in multiple surgical specialties including General, GU/GYN, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, Open Vascular, ENT, Dental, Pediatric Surgery, and Da Vinci Robot-assisted procedures
- Charge nurse experience is a plus
- Must be flexible, accountable, a team player, and timely
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
- Trauma nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Position is a replacement for a night shift charge nurse role
- There are currently 2 charge nurse vacancies on the night shift
- Staffing challenges require coverage of charge nurse duties 7 days a week
