Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 48
Weekend Schedule: 1 weekend in 4, 12-hour shifts

Job Description

Work in a 37-bed Level 1 Trauma Center
Circulate in multiple surgical specialties including General, GU/GYN, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, Open Vascular, ENT, Dental, Pediatric Surgery, and Da Vinci Robot-assisted procedures
Charge nurse experience is a plus
Must be flexible, accountable, a team player, and timely

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
Trauma nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Position is a replacement for a night shift charge nurse role
There are currently 2 charge nurse vacancies on the night shift
Staffing challenges require coverage of charge nurse duties 7 days a week
