RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - South Carolina

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Temporary
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • Location: University Parkway, Aiken, South Carolina
  • Travel Requirement: Must live at least 100 miles away from the facility

Unit Description

  • Multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
  • Use of advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Acute care experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
  • Address needs of patients, families, and community through various patient care functions and tasks in the ICU setting
