Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination.
Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques.
Instruct patients and families on the use of adaptive equipment like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils.
Monitor and document patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns; report findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed.
Provide emotional encouragement to patients and train caregivers on assisting with home programs.
Prepare treatment areas, clean equipment, and assist with administrative duties such as scheduling and billing.

Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a Long Term Care setting.
Valid Texas OTA license or compact license.
