Job Summary

Provides nursing care in a correctional health setting for an adult incarcerated population, including medication passes, health care request assessments, withdrawal assessments, insulin administration, wound care, clinic visits, rounding, and ECGs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
2 years of nursing experience, excluding Home Health, Hospice, and School Services
Nursing experience within the last year, excluding Home Health, Hospice, and School Services
Experience in a Corrections setting
Driver's License

CCHP

Skills

De-escalation and psych experience is a plus
Effective interpersonal skills
Basic computer literacy
Written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Independent judgment in nursing care
