Job Opportunity: RRT-NICU (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Job Description

• Position for CRT or RRT with Arkansas RRT State License required
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekend shifts required
• Must be located within 100 miles of the facility
• Respiratory Therapists rotate through NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, floor work, nursery, etc.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy (highest required experience)
• BLS certification required
• CRT or RRT credential
• Experience in ER & ICU acute care settings
• Skills in:

  • Ventilator management
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Airway management
  • Respiratory treatments
  • Suctioning
  • ABG analysis
  • EKG interpretation
  • High-risk deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

• Bedside Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) experience
• Bronchoscopy experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and nursery experience preferred
• Experience with level 2 nursery care including stabilization of infants, ventilator use, RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Arkansas RRT State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - preferred for applicable units
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred for pediatric and emergency units
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - as required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions
• Education verification
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel within 90 days)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TB screening
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Flu vaccination (seasonal, with exemptions accepted)
  • COVID vaccination or declination accepted

Additional Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments prior to start
• Competency exams including medication, pharmacology, and EKG/dysrhythmia as applicable
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations if previously employed over 1 year with the system
