Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Outpatient Clinic)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Previous outpatient clinic experience required.
• Family Practice experience preferred.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty.
• Accepts first-time travelers.
• Willingness to sign contracts longer than 13 weeks is preferred.
• Requires a Wisconsin or Compact nursing license.

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required.
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions; must be renewed annually.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start; updated annually.
• State-specific caregiver screening (Wisconsin Caregiver Search).
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters).
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement must be completed prior to start.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year of start (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable).
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March).

Competencies and Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable).
• Color Blind Testing (required for dialysis/kidney center candidates).
• Competency Exam (as applicable to specialty).

References and Experience Verification

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start.
• For inpatient RNs (not applicable here), one reference must be from the most recent acute care assignment.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• This is a travel/contract role suitable for first-time travelers.
