Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

Job Details

• Start Dates: February 9, 14, or 23
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform surgery education, fracture care education, and other patient care education
• Triaging patient phone calls: assess and prioritize to ensure safe and timely care
• Manage PT/INRs for surgical patients pre- and post-surgery
• Submit prescriptions as directed by provider
• Complete and review FMLA, disability, and other provider-related forms before submission
• Schedule surgeries

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): As required
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for applicable RN positions; must be renewed annually

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (required for dialysis/kidney center roles)
• Competency Exam (as applicable to profession/specialty)

Background Checks & Screening

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start; updated annually
• State-specific caregiver screening (Wisconsin Caregiver Search) required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; chest X-ray within 60 days if applicable
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start
• Annual skills checklist required
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start
