Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Pediatric Echo Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Daily Caseload: 4-10 patients per tech
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts with staggered start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: No
- On-call Requirement: No
- Floating Requirement: Yes, will float between hospital and North Charleston clinic
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

- Licensure:
- Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with PE certification or
- CCI with RCCS certification
- All certifications must be in hand at time of start
- Pending state license accepted
- Skills:
- Proficient in scanning pediatric echocardiograms
- Extensive knowledge of complex congenital heart defects
- Experience with GE Vivid 95 and PACS system preferred
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required for pediatric units
- Certifications Recommended:
- MD reference highly recommended

- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccines with boosters if needed)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer or vaccines with boosters if needed)
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- COVID-19 vaccines highly preferred but not required; declination form accepted
