Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour days, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Call: Approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
• Work Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Teaching facility, Level I Trauma center
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Required Experience & Skills

• Experienced in both Cath Lab & Angio with scrub experience
• Must be willing to float within the site and across the hospital system
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with Cath Lab Tech roles

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• ARRT-R (Radiologic Technologist - Registered)
• Oregon State License (OBMI)

Additional Requirements

• No Return to Office (RTO) in first 2 weeks; max 7 days of RTO allowed
• Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment
• Criminal background check required (7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide sex offender, county, federal, FACIS L3, and international if applicable)
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year prior to start
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (immune titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (immune titer and 3-dose vaccine series or signed declination)
  • Varicella (immune titer or 2 vaccines)
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Flu vaccine or signed declination required annually (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccine documentation or declination required
• Respirator medical clearance required annually unless no patient interaction
• Two professional references required (supervisory or above, within 3 years)

Important Notes

• Must cancel shifts at least 1.5 hours before start in case of low census mandatory cancellation
• Floating acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
• Facility provides scrubs for X-Ray Tech/OR/IR/Cath Lab/PACU staff
• Candidates may be permitted to start with pending background checks on a case-by-case basis

This position is ideal for Cath Lab Techs with solid experience in both Cath Lab and Angio procedures who are flexible with floating and committed to compliance with facility policies and certifications.
